Wish Upon A Star is the last song of Series 8 in 2006. There was a remake in Series 13 of 2011. The song was dubbed in Spanish and Portuguese. It was also adapted in the Philippines version from Series 2 in 2016, and in Hi-5 Indonesia in 2017.

- In the Sharing Wishes video and the Wish Upon A Star album, the beginning part of the song's music was excluded.
- The song's line "When you wish upon a star" came from the song of the same name in Disney's Pinocchio.
- This is the last song to feature Kathleen de Leon Jones as a member of the group.
- In the ending version of the original version, Tim and Nathan were put on a green screen. Special effects were used to show Tim flying in outer space and Nathan in a prehistoric landscape. The prehistoric landscape would be later seen again in Time Machine. Kellie's mirror was also green screened, at least in its interior. Kathleen's scene in the ending version was done using pause-editing. Charli is the only one whose scene in the ending version did not use any type of editing.
- Also, the cast credits appear in these scenes, making this song the earliest time that the cast credits appear in the ending version of a Song of the Week as Tim and Kathleen's scenes appear in the first verse, Charli, Nathan and Kellie's scenes appear in the second verse, and none of the cast credits appeared near the end of this song, like they usually do.
