In the original series (from series 1 to 10) and the American series, after every single segment except Sharing Stories, there were kids doing an activity similar to the one seen in the segment, often with one or more Hi-5 members. A framework related to either the week theme or the DVD was put around the screen, except for the first two original series where it was a pointy yellow frame. From series 11 to 17, the kids were still shown after the segments, just without a framework. In the British version, there was a frame for each segment.
